Oxford Brookes is an award-winning uni with over 150 years of history. It’s made up of four campuses: Harcourt Hill, Headington, Swindon and Whatley, and Oxford Brookes’ buildings have been repeatedly recognised at various conservation award ceremonies!
Legend has it that Oxford began with a beautiful princess called Frideswide who fled to Oxford to start a nunnery. That site is now Christ Church Cathedral!
Today, Oxford is world-renowned for its beautiful historic architecture blended with modern boutique shops and cafes. It’s a dreamy place that fuels the imagination, definitely a place that creatives can thrive!

Sustainability runs through the design of every building at Oxford Brookes, making use of natural lighting, low-flow water fixtures, and efficient heating systems!
And get this - Oxford Brookes was the first uni in the world to install bee-centred freedom hives! Bird, bat and owl boxes are installed across the campus as well as bug hotels and hedgehog houses!! They even have a helpful guide on how to help a hedgehog in distress!
Courses at Oxford Brookes are built to shape your path to success. Their vision is to help students learn by doing, so you can apply the skills you learn to real-world problems so you feel as prepared as can be come graduation!
There are loads of accommodation options to choose from! Not only that, but if you’re studying education, paramedic science, nursing or midwifery - they have special halls of residence set up especially for you!
Oxford Brookes offers a few different types of additional financing options. For students coming from lower-income homes, there is the Oxford Brookes bursary scheme ranging from £750 to £3000 per year (you don’t have to pay anything back!).
And for all you excellent role models out there, the community scholarship award is presented to students who are held in the highest regard within their school, college or community!
